I am delighted to be working alongside Christian Slot of Muscular Reflexology fame, to bring his training programme to the UK. Christian has a been a practitioner for more than 40 years and a tutor for 28 years, having taught this specialised programme since its development 15 years ago, to more than 600 reflexologists. He is the author of three books with his latest hitting the headlines across the world. Muscular reflexology is an effective, powerful and very different way of performing reflexology that can add value to your clinical toolbox.
Muscular reflexology level 1 Level 1 is a hands-on teaching programme consisting of five face to face days, eight hours per day. A total of forty hours of tuition is required to complete the Level 1 training.
Levels 1 starts with the basic understanding of balance distribution through the spine, bought to you through Christian's concept described as "box understanding." Each box is "stacked" one on top of another and subsequently influenced by the box beneath it. The bottom "box" corresponds to the pelvis, alongside the bones and muscles within it. The most crucial element of which is the sacroiliac joint. To obtain full function and mobility, you will engage in the full understanding of the musculature associated with this area. Christian accomplishes this by introducing you to the reflex zones for the associated muscles of this area and their placement on the feet.
You will learn to recognise a tense muscle zone on the feet and how to take appropriate actions to relax them.
You will learn how these muscles connect with other 'boxes' and their relationship to the limbs.
You will gain an understanding of 'valve treatments' in relation to our emotional state and muscle tension.
You will learn about:
A locked sacroiliac joint, pelvic instability, hip pain, lower back pain, sciatica, disc herniation, facet joint syndrome,
pain between the shoulder blades, various neck issues, spinal problems, neck posture, jaw and bite issues,
shoulder problems, tennis elbow, knee disorders, and much more.
